HOTEL ROOM COST We have negotiated a very nice $89 per night group rate.  This special rate is good from Tuesday, January 30th through Tuesday, February 6th.   (Walk-ins will pay $219.95 at this time of the year.)  Mention “Campion Reunion” when making your reservation.  If circumstances warrant, you may cancel your reservations up to 24 hours prior to your check-in time.  Reservations must be made by 1/12/07

MEALS
Friday night reception 6:00 to 10:00 — Cocktails (cash bar) and a spread of  miscellaneous goodies. Casual dress.
Saturday night banquet 6:00 to 10:00 — Cocktails (cash bar) & Banquet.   Entrees include Filet Mignon, Medallions of Pork Tenderloin and Chicken Cordon Bleu.  Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.  This will be arranged to your satisfaction.
Sunday morning getaway 8:00 to 10:00 — Old  Fashioned Southern Breakfast.

Catholic Church 1 mile.    Please know that we will have a mass in the Hotel Saturday evening at 5:00 PM.  That is if we can find a willing Priest at the party.
In 2002, we featured a tour of the Kennedy Space center on Saturday.  Since this was so very popular we will do it again, even with the same tour guide (Lillian, who remembers y’all)) that the Campion folks enjoyed so much five years ago. Many changes and additions have been made in five years. GOLF

Warm up your putter, chip the ice off your 9 iron and thaw your balls.  In the past we have attempted to run a tournament of some kind.  This has not worked out too well.  This year we ask you to call the golf course and make arrangements yourself if you have a group (3 or 4) with whom you intend to play.  If you are alone or with just one other person, please contact me and we will pair you up with others that are in the same situation.

We are using the same facility that we did in ’02 —  The Habitat at Valkaria.  The guys were enthused about this layout then. You may call the pro-shop with your reservation no earlier than five days prior to the day you wish to play.  You will not have to give a credit card number.  But if you have to cancel, of course, it would be nice to advise the shop.  The fee with cart will be $48.00 at this fine championship course.

You might want to take advantage of our extended days with the hotel discount to play on a week day.  The course would be less crowded.  And you would not miss the KSC tour on Saturday if that is of interest.  Average high temp this time of year is 72 – 74 so you might want to bring a sweater. Please remember our tradition of donating a few bucks to help the religious who labor under a vow of poverty.  We try to pay, or help pay for their travel and lodging.  Those of the cloth who would appreciate this kind of help, please let us know.

We must make a substantial deposit on our food prior to 11/15/2006, so please help us by sending your payment as early as is practical for you.  (See coupon below.)

We have reserved a block of 75 rooms.  In ’02 110 rooms were rented for Saturday night.  It would be advisable to reserve early, to protect yourself as well as to help us to determine if more rooms should be set aside for us. Your credit card will not be charged until you register or if you have cancelled your reservation.  In any case please send your remittance to us by 10/15/2006.   We need time for the tour folks to get a bus scheduled for us, and the hotel to get our food organized.

Patrick Finneran, CHS ’53 and published author, will be a guest speaker. We also expect to have a very special surprise speaker.  They promise to be brief but enjoyable.
